They are indeed a rare find compared to other Silver Halfs like what Greatrepublic said...some of the old boys that have been detecting for a long time will tell you that BF Half is indeed a rare find! You got a good one! nice hunting! :clapping:

Thanks Guys. I've been fortunate enough to find two Franklins and prior to the first one it was high on my wish list as well. At some point dollar coins and halves started to fall out of use and I have to believe that it plays a part in the rarity. Walkers seem to be the most commonly dug half, of course they had a much longer run than the Bennys. :shrug:
