Howdy,
We had an outbreak of warm weather and sunshine yesterday afternoon (64 degrees or so), so I went back out to where I'd found four wheats a week ago. (Glad I did; it's back to 32 today!).
Stayed with the 8x6 SEF on the SE. I was able to run at 28 manual, using just an IM pattern rejecting 22 and below, conductive audio (Normal response), 10/10 variability/limits.
The ground was nice and yielding. I stayed in a signal rich area to get the most out of the 8x6 advantages. I was able to reverse my fortunes from the first hunt, sniffing out three silvers and only one wheat this time. None of them had terrific signals, but each had a bit of audio that caught on with a good wiggle. I'd call them all 'iffy', even with the cranked up sensitivity (which made me wonder how much else there could be hiding). Ran out of time just as I was getting a good feel for what to pick out of the signals at this location.
All were six or more inches I believe, but didn't get accurate measures.
Tried one shot with the phone camera of the first silver in the ground. Not so clear (oh well).
Thanks for looking.
