First time out this year and 12X15 SEF

Took the 12X15 SEF out for the first hunt of the year. Went to the park that Derrell and I beat to death last summer and hunted for a couple hours. Marked some signals with the Pro coil then switched to the SEF for comparison. Both coils was able to get all signals but one, which turned out to be a wheatie with a large nail and melted slag in the same hole. The SEF hit all signals harder and ID'd slightly better in my opionon. All in all, 2 injuns and four wheaties from this park was outstanding. I think it's a keeper

Nice looking coins. Thanks for posting and the pic.

Nice hunting!

Nice job. I'll be posting my review of my first time out with the 15x12 yesterday in a little bit here in the Sovereign forum. All I can say is 3 hours later I had no arm fatigue and this coil seperated very well, ran stable at max sensitivity, and found silver. She even out did a Whites 6000 Pro Xl with 9.5" coil in terms of silver and separation! Details in the other forum in an hour or so...

If you are even thinking about getting an SEF but are worried about the weight or size just go ahead and get the 15x12. I had the same concerns but she's not heavy and the size is not nearly as big as I had in my mind. It's a winner in every respect. I would have been let down by the size of the 12x10 in comparison to my 10" Tornado coil. The size is true but I had the 15x12 size and weight pictured to be much more in my mind. It's the best coil I've ever used on any machine, big or small!
