Well I received the new e-trac late Friday from UPS. First off I would like to thank all that gave me their insight and tips on putting an e-trac together for the first time post. I got it put together Saturday late morning, It took me that long because I read the
manual from cover to cover before hand. I'm a slow reader. It's my first metal detector so I wanted to at least think I had a little knowledge of the machine before I went out. Needless to say at the park I went to I dug a lot of trash. I did manage to find 2
quarters, 3 dimes, 1 nickle, 6 pennies. All clad. I have so much to learn on the machine. I'm going to hit the park again today and try the Sun Ray X-5 coil (if it's not raining). I used the default coin program with the stock coil and I am going to do the same
with the X-5. I hope to hear a more defined signal from the X-5 but I'm not really sure what to expect. Hope to add to this post tonight with what I found (maybe silver). I should say I have metal detected 35 years ago with a Garrett that had a 3x5 box with 2
dials on it attached to the shaft. With all the technology in the the past 35 years that has gone into metal detecting I'm new to metal detecting as it is now.
HH to all that get to go today.
