Hi.I have to say that i didn't expected to find much my first time out with the ctx.I wanted an easy place to just play around and see how it works.I was using Gonehunting's combine mode and picked a beach i had hunted tons of times. This beach has lots of iron and i mean lots.About 2 weeks ago i found a 42 Washington and a buffalo nickle with my etrac on this beach which was cool because i live in Canada.Anyway in about 2 hours i found 1 silver quarter 2 silver dimes and a hand full of clad.I was shocked.I was going to wait and buy the ctx later but I'm glad i didn't wait. This is buy far the best detector i have ever used.I still love my etrac and will never sell her,but this detector is crazy. Thanks to everyone for all the great post that made me have to buy her.
Sorry no pics..

I am on my one month with the CTX the finds just keep getting better congrats on your finds. :twodetecting::thumbup:

After 25+ years in this hobby it is the best detector I have ever owned by far.

No jimzilla the best detector i had was a bfo for 19.95 found more with that than any i have since had to dig it all but that was 40 plus years ago Thankx

Was that a Garrett Beat Frequency Oscillator? I remember those. Never bought one though. No pinpointers either. Dig everything and sift through the dirt to find small coins. :pulltab:

No it was a relco very unstable but worked lot of plastic had to watch out getting it stuck in your bike spokes.

Well if we could go back 40 years imagine how good you would do with a ctx.Huh, time travel.Ctx 4040??

I took the CTX to one of my old spots yesterday that wasn't producing anymore, and found 6 silver dimes all were very deep. Two were 8" down in old ETRAC plugs that I gave-up on. The CTX is a superior machine, and I love it. :)
