The targets were few and far between, but I had expected as much. I went to a really well hunted area at our local park. I found 2 memorial pennies and that was about it.....until I started off back towards my Jeep. On the way back I got a pretty nice 12/44-45 at about 7-8 inches. I cut the plug and was surprised to see a silver ring staring at me. I was somewhat impressed because I've been over this particular area many times; with many different detectors, so I was surprised to see something shiny in the hole. The CTX is different from my E-Trac, but yet similar. I've got a lot to learn on the machine, but I'm looking forward to it.

That the best way to brake in a new detector with some Silver Congrats. :twodetecting::minelab::thumbup:

 Nice find Dan the man!

Thats a cool looking ring. Congrats!

Congratulations Dan.. Excellent Find.. It only gets better.. I went to a well hunted area yesterday evening for an hour or so and first coin at about 8 inches was a Mercury. Nickel count was high too... Richard
