Hi all just had to let u know about my first trip out with my ace 250,, I use to detect alot when I was younger with my Grandfather but got busy with work and life,, finaly I could aford a good machine and after reading alot of your forums went with the 250,, picked 2 machines up on friday and my wife and I went to work in the yard we were staying ,, not an old place only been there about 8 years with no real history about it,thought we might pick up some new coins ,but on my second signal that read like a pulltab I dug up a very small and fine gold ring with a nice red stone in it, my first gold even after all the years I did when I was kid,, very exciting,,,

That Ace is a great machine. My wife and I hunt together as well. Make sure you keep a distance of thirty feet or more between you while detecting with machines of the same frequency. Otherwise there will be much false signaling and such, due to operating on the same frequency. Best of luck to ya'!
