First week hunts LTD

BP mode sucked the targets out of the tall grass and cut soybean stalks at three sites.

Nice Saves George. I did pretty good friday w/the F-75. I'm really starting to like that machine, at one time I wanted to wrap it around a tree.

Hi George, MERRY CHRISTMAS, It looks like you've FOUND THE SWEET SPOT on your F-75LTD!! Those are some REAL NICE FINDS!! I especially
like the REALE WEDGES!! George, what settings were you using? I hope you have a very HEALTHY & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!
HH, Les

Hi Les,
Hope all is well with you. I used the Boost mode , sensitivity at 80 ( I like stability to hear), 2 tones and the disc. set at 7. I use some disc. so the boost mode chops on deep iron. The grass was high at these sites and they have been hit hard over the years. I really like this detector.

Hi George, MANY THANKS for the quick reply!! I just saw your MOST RECENT post, and did you DIG MANY of the One-Way Hits? And if so, what were
the results? I haven't read any comments about one-way hits!! In the past, most people would post to PRETTY MUCH dig only 2-way hits!!
So curious minds want to know!! I'm hoping to try my F-75 LTD by the end of the week, after I read the manual one more time!! BEST OF
NEW YEAR to YOU!! HH, Les

Les,
I dug a couple. They were iron. You should like the LTD.

I've dug a couple small brass items around a lot of iron on 1 way hits in a field. Still learning the language of this extraordinary instrument. I'm loving it!

The F75 LTD is a complex high-end machine, and as someone who never owned the first gen F75 I'm working with a longer learning curve than many.

Yes, I'm still digging a lot of trash. But I'm also digging deep solid hitting good targets like never before. 7" and deeper targets have become much more common.

I'm amazed at how deep it goes, even at lower sensitivity, and how well it does unmasking good targets.

I have an F5 and it's a fine machine that improved when I added the 11" DD. It's hard to describe, but even though I like the F5 performance better with the 11" DD than the stock concentric, you can tell ergonomically that the F5 was not made to be used with it. It was an afterthought that came out long after the detector was released. The F75 LTD (and I'm sure the original F75) is made for the 11" DD.
