Couple more gold from a few weeks ago using the AQ (3 so far for 2026). Think I'll make this my "AQ Gold for 2026" post. So far I averaged about ten a year using it, setting at 48 gold with owing two AQ's since May 20th and Oct 2020.

Recently had someone over on FB ask if I'm hunting in all metal (with a PI) .. where is all the iron? My answer,... If you know your beaches well enough you can place yourself in areas where there is less, iron and lite targets like pull-tabs. Also you can tell by the signal strength and shape out the targets with the coil. It is much easier to do that with the smaller 10 inch coil which I have for the AQ. Another way to discriminate is to skip the shallow targets and dig the faints or one way signals only......... which is what I do at this old beach.
