General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Fisher drills me a second time!!!

Not all problems get resolved I had 2 bad out of box 3D units and the 3rd one worked but the faceplate rocked up and down badly when PP button used. Called Daniel and dealer several times with no responce. Dealer lost 2 future sales to me. NASA Tom helped me out and unit was right on the ID but no real depth. Got rid of it. I still am a Fisher fan due to tones but it just seems they have more out of box problems than should be. My GBSE had been sent back to FTP with out of box problems by dealer and when he got it back I got it. Its a killer MD and very good to me. When I buy my LTD I will have dealer check unit out before shipping. Warrenty is nice but I dont like down time with my funds being in limbo. I may just wait and buy a used one from reliable source.
 
No not an isolated problem, I received my 1270 and opened the box and the detector was never mounted to the handle, and Fisher wouldn't do anything about it, had a go around with KellyCo before they would send me another one. And also I've been in communication with Mike Scott over a coil that their ads for the 1270 say 1200 series coil are interchangeable and they are not, my 10.5 1200 ser. coil will not pinpoint on the 1270. finally one of their TECH's told me the older one are not comparable one has 4 wires the other has 5, well numerous e-mails back and forth and Mike Scott just stopped communication and I still have this 10.5 with no pinpoint.Poor customer service. Sent my F75 Ltd in for repair for a coil the sounds off every time it bumps something or tap the coil or cable, and I'm pretty sure that it's still the same although I haven't given it good workout cause of the snow but it's still sounding off. Don't think they could have tested it out when they finished the repair. I also think they have poor QC.

Shooter, is this a model that KellyCo is having made special for them?
If it was the current 1270X that Fisher shows on the Fisher website then I find it a bit hard to believe Fisher would not do anything about it.
If it was a special detector made just for KellyCo then I can understand them wanting you to deal with KellyCo.

Mike Scott is well known to be a problem solver and a stand up guy ... did you disrespect him on the phone?
Wouldn't think he would just leave you hanging for no reason.

Sometimes the lowest price (and $10,000 in free gifts) is not the best choice.
I would much rather buy a used detector from someone known on the forums than a new one from KellyCo.
