Watch this video and tell me what you think about the pinpoint on 2L&2H only..sounds like there is something not right..

Yes but those 2 tone choices make that noise on every target.. I love using 2L but hate the sound pinpoint makes...

mine does the exact same thing..thought there was something wrong with my machine ..but its fine in every other tone

I havent test those modes pinpoint yet. seems to do in when centered on target. clearly tied to iron audio levels not max or off.

I don't think I could handle that, looks like it would drive you nuts.-----There's gotta be a remedy.

I noticed that last Sunday and did a default reset. I did not notice it was in 2H or 2L only.
After seeing the video last night I tried to recreate that here at home. The pin point did not act up like that at all. But at home I get some EMI and it is hard to GB at home.
I wonder if it is related to GB.
Every time I do a reset the default GB is 90. My unit runs goofy at 90 GB.

It sounds like its saying momma lol i think its only doing this in these two modes due to those are only modes with a volume difference between iron and non iron...and its not as noticable in 2H ...2H has both volumes close to same where 2L has iron at a whisper... If all machines are doing this then i dont know if its fixable...i know i had a tone issue with my whites mx5 and made several vids of it ,called whites and it took me over a month to convince them those machines had a problem...they finally fix them all..i only hate that these modes would be very useful in alot of places but hate using them because of the horrible sound pinpointing lol. Still not a deal breaker for me..i will watch and see who else has the same issues..

is it only on non-ferris or both? I tried in air test and it only happens with it really close to the coil with "sharp" break in pinpoint from hitting to not. definitely need ground to help the break.

It happens all the time..only in those two tone choices... I think it has something to do with those are only two tones that use 2 diff volumes for ferrous and non ferrous ..which may be why the tone pitch changes in pinpoint mode.. All other tone choices have equal volume on all metals and 1n tone has it silenced.... I dont use pinpoint all the time but i was testing all modes and tones for opporation ...

Do you think Fisher will do a recall to fix them ?

I have no clue..whites did with the mx5 but this may be normal for these modes...thats why i posted it to see if everyones is the same so we all know.. Is yours doing same thing?

if it carried over to pinpoint like some pinpoint disc that would be killer. does 1n sound off on iron in pinpoint? I shall test further.

it does. little momma in 2l and 2h never hurt no one. lol no way Im send this hot firecracker in for "repair".
