After getting a late start, I managed to get in a few hours of swing time in today. The 1947 Rosie gave a bouncy 81-84 VDI reading. I didn't know what to expect with those numbers. I know that I had my coil over or near the spot where I found the Rosie several times. Apparently, I was asleep at the wheel.:) I also found a few wheat pennies ( 1946, 1939, 1945, 1944, 1926, 19?? ), a 1936 Buffalo Nickle, a token for some cigarettes and some kind of coin I can't ID. I think I've wore this spot out and need to find another virgin site. I blew past finding a 100 silver coins for the year a few months ago. I could have found a lot more silver coins if I just high toned (cherry picking), but that gets a little boring after awhile. I like finding relics and gold jewelry as well as silver coins, so I dig most everything. It keeps things interesting. I was using BP mode, 50 sensitivity, 7 discrimination and switching around from 3, 3H, 4, and 4H on the tones. I didn't dig as many targets today as I did yesterday. I needed a rest.:) Oh yeah, I was using the NEL Sharpshooter Coil.:detecting:

Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Not much trash on that hunt! Another great day for you!!! We are lucky to have 50s and 60s this time of year - I hope it stays that way. Don't eat too much turkey tomorrow LOL :smoke:

I'm still a little worn down from yesterday's hunt. Big trash piles don't come easy.:smoke: It's about time for another big gold ring to pop up.

Tabman,
I've never seen a token for cigarettes before. Are those common?

Always like looking at your finds.

Thanks Mike, it's my first cigarette pack token. I didn't even know that there was such a thing. With my digging style it's no telling what might pop up out the ground.:)

Token is interesting. Had to be from a time before Surgeon General made companies put warnings on the packs. I remember being able to go to vending machines and get cigarettes. 50 cents a pack.

Outstanding! Great job on the 100+ silvers so far....I like how you hunt, you DO find some gold with your method, and you always find something of interest..For a guy who has only 4yrs behind the coil, you got really good, really fast:clapping:

What coil is that?

Nice tokens Tab,

Yes it does... you may be thinking about the SHARP ACE.
