Foolproof Tip

I was out detecting in a local park yesterday afternoon when a seven or eight year-old boy walked up and asked what I was doing. I replied that I was looking for metal. "Oh, you mean treasure? You're looking for treasure!" he said. Then he went on, "On Sponge Bob - I watch Sponge Bob - the treasure is usually marked with a big 'X'."

With that, he seemed satisfied knowing what I was doing, and in offering his advice, so he said his goodbyes and moved on.

Just thought I would share that tip. If you see any big Xs on the ground, be sure to check there for treasure, as it seems to be a sure-fire indicator.
