Dug this heavy man's necklace yesterday - didn't check it for stamps till later on. Thought something was stamped so I cleaned the clasp off and - -

much to my surprise found this 14 K - nothing else anywhere.

I tested it with my acid kit and it showed not gold but to be sure I took it to my jeweler and they tested it and proclaimed it 14 K GF = gold filled. This means that gold was plated on it to a richer depth than just the surface. It actually goes into the metal and bonds. Bottom line - good addition to my fake gold display :(

Be aware on finds and on buying these things. When I get it cleaned up it will look just like good gold. Steve in so az

Wish it was real Steve. Next time buddy!

a dollar two ninety eight for it! :)

I had a friend come into our repair shop and was showing off his gold chains he had bought at very reduced price, he was all happy until my brother placed the good ol cow magnet on them and the chains clinged to that magnet like a fly on a rump roast. So buyer beware, if you not sure, don't do it, and more then likely it's stolen merchandise anyway.

Glad to have ya stop by and post. Hope you like it here.
God bless.
