Dug this heavy man's necklace yesterday - didn't check it for stamps till later on. Thought something was stamped so I cleaned the clasp off and - -
much to my surprise found this 14 K - nothing else anywhere.

I tested it with my acid kit and it showed not gold but to be sure I took it to my jeweler and they tested it and proclaimed it 14 K GF = gold filled. This means that gold was plated on it to a richer depth than just the surface. It actually goes into the metal and bonds. Bottom line - good addition to my fake gold display
Be aware on finds and on buying these things. When I get it cleaned up it will look just like good gold. Steve in so az
