For newbies. Ace 250 tip. :detecting:

The poor man patent won't really protect anything... Unfortunately, the process is long and expensive. The initial search to determine if there is anything else out there that already has a patent takes lots of time and really has to be done so your application doesn't get rejected. :sadwalk: All that being said, you may be OK if there is no one out there who thinks that there is enough market there to make it worth their while to steal it.

Compared to the whole world us hunters are a very small part of it. Then only a very small part of those own Ace 250's and 150's. Then only a small amount of those people will ever see my gizmo. Of those only a small part of those will buy it. So it really sounds like I'll sell three!

Any day bud. There used to be a saying in this country - " Buy American, the job you save may be your own." But sadly no one paid attention. Now we've lost millions of jobs and if Bush gets his other trade deals passed before he leaves office more will be lost. Course with this coming depression many will be out of work anyway. Look for 10% unemployment by January. Currently 10,000,000 people are unemployed. Over a million lost their jobs this year alone. Things are going to get real tough.

Yeah you could peddle them in the classifieds. You're right, if you wanted to sell them on here you would have to buy a banner and they ain't cheap.

Thanks Bill. For the time it takes to make one there really isn't much money to be made anyway. Then why make them? I don't know - maybe just a service to my Garrett buddies. Now if Charles buy a few thousand of them I might be able to buy a new set of tires!

I wonder if the sponsorship is a month to month contract? This way I wouldn't be locked in for a year if they don't sell.

I'm familiar to the audio in the PP mode between a nickel and tab. I was wondering if you guys hear anything different in the disc mode between a nickel and tab? I still dig a lot of tabs just to make sure...
