I have an Explorer II, Not a fan of the stock DD, I love the 8"concentric excelerator!!!
But would like to try another winner.. I hear I cant loose with a Sunray or SEF!
This would mostly be used on the beach, and would consider a bigger in size up to15".
I do have an Excal 8" and Infinium with 8",5x10,10x14" I tend to play in the water...
But for Now I need a land lubber 12 that is a home run for my Explorer...
Some of you mad man have both...
Your up to bat next...
So what is your favorite bat to swing on the beach.

I ocean hunt just about every yr down the OBX ( outer banks, NC ) One yr I picked up an X-12 specifically for the trip... Now, I could run the explorer with the standard coil ( 10.5 dd) with the sens set about 27-28 and runs perfectly smooth all the way to the waters edge and goes deeeep.... Swapped the x-12 on for a morning hunt and it falsed majorly at those same settings... I had to reduce the sens all the way back to 19-20 for it to run as smooth as the 10.5....So, I figured having to reduce the sens that much, I wouldn't gain any more depth out of the coil then what I was using and switched back to the standard coil... Never switched since.....On a side note... I'm using a safari this season and very optimistic the the pro coil should work very well at the ocean..

Just my thoughts.. Good luck

Thats about the same with me or even a little less on the sens setting for the X12. To noisy at the beach for me. The pro coil and 10X12 both are quiet and deep so I will use those.
