FORUM HUNT IS ON

NH Bob

New member
The hunt is on for the 12th of July. Your coil will never be closer to the ground than it will that day.
Sorry, but it will only be a one day hunt. 8:AM to 4:pM.
Bottled water will be provided for the day. You need to bring your own eats and all other gear for yourself. If you're bashful you may wet your pants, otherwise there are woods all around the field.
The fee is $20 per person for the day. This covers the land, water and other expenses. The field will accommodate 25 hunters. I need 10 hunters to secure the field.
There are no guarantees but the potential is there for Colonial finds.
The first 25 to reply will be in the first forum hunt.
I need to know by Wed. evening so I can get back to you with details and you can secure a room if need be.
Please email me with "Forum Hunt" on subject line.
Bob

Sounds like a great day out Bob... :bouncy::twodetecting:

Good hunting to all you folk who participate !:smoke:

There coming from Tenn, Wisconsin, NY, Mass, NH and Conn. Wouldn't you like to meet a few forum friends?
Wednesday is the last day to email me that you are coming.

I haven't been doing much myself ...

So nothing to post I guess.

I'm still hangin' around !

Bob,

Just wondering what town state the hunt is at that I'm going to miss? Not that the wife and I could have made it on the 12th.. I just got pointed to you post late in the day today 11th.. Also please let us know how it went and of some of the finds.. Did you get 25 people for the hunt? I'm in Conway NH!! George

I've got Jim from Tenn. Tom from Wisconsin, I think 2 from NY, 1 or 2 from Mass and a couple from NH.
Started out with more and the closer we get the more dropouts I get. Last count is about 9 of us.
Too bad too, because the field is 1700s and just below the field I had the spring hunt in.
The field is in Westmoreland next to the Conn. river.
Some pics from the spring hunt.

Bob, Thanks for the info and the great photo's from the last hunt! Wish we could have had a go at it but like I said we had found the post late and my wife has t work on the 12th. With the distance from us in northern NH cost of gas and a place to stay for one night it would be a bit rich for out blood these day's. I think your $20 fee for the admission is more then reasonable for those who are close to the site. I wish you and every one the best of luck and we'll be thinking of you guy's and gal's tomorrow wishing we could have made it too!! Thanks again! George & Penny

I would have been there :(. Hope you don't get soured by this outings disappointing numbers, cause I sure would like the opportunity to join y' all in the future.
Keith
