The weatherman said yesterday this is the wettest Spring ever recorded in Ohio. However yesterday was also a rare and beautiful day with no rain. I headed to a park where the ground was super-saturated and dodged pools of water. It was my third hunt of the year and I think the silver gods were happy to see me out again because they quicklyrewarded me with a 1908d Barber quarter!
Then they punished me for not hunting more often by not letting me find any more silver.
I also found 1936 & 1941 wheat cents, clad coins and, of course, garbage.
Finds From Hunt
Freshly Rinsed 1908d Barber Quarter
Here It Is Cleaned Up.

You can see how wet the ground was.
