Found 4 wheats and a silver quarter

Found these today at a strip of grass next to a playground. After finding a wheat I slowed down and started pulling more out of this small area. It was a nice hot spot. I used the tejon with the stock 9x8 coil. The pennies were all shallow. Maybe 3-5 inches down. The quarter was about 10 inches. It was just a whisper on the detector, but the signal stayed steady and I knew that was a good sign. I’ve been using the tejon with the alt disc to break up on pull tabs and it’s been real good at picking out coins.

The Tejon and the Shadow X5 were some great detectors for going in the areas many detectors have been, had them both and still have the X5 and was impressed with these 2 non meter detectors for the power they had. the thing is many though without a meter it was useless , but those that learned their detector well I have seen those 2 picking out many great finds that meter detector walked over. When I started in 1973 or so there were no meter machine so we had to look and listen to every signal and use our head to decide what to dig and what not too. We didnt have many pulltabs to fight with and the rusty bottle caps were our main problems in the older parks. We seen many gold rings then than after the disc detectors came out.
now the problem is Tesoro and the Shadows are both out of business and the few that have them are not really selling them.
I sure did enjoy swinging those 2 compared to my Sovereigns and the E-Tracs as they were so light than our main detectors.
