For the past two years we have been cleaning our clad during the winter and then rolling them
After finding my "first" war nickel, I was curious if we had overlooked others in our clad
Believe it or not we have yet to turn in last years clad and that was lucky
To be truthful, as I have gotten into detecting, I have started to take an interest in the coins
Here are the two war nickels I "found" in our collected dug clad
What is interesting is all the dug war nickels (3 in total) are all 1944P's
Which probably means that this date is most common or not?
I cleaned the nickels for photo because if I had not seen the dates
I'm not sure I would have realized they were silver before cleaning them
So lesson to learn, check your clad
