Found Some Old Coins And A What The Heck Is It ?

Been working long hours at my job and here on the farm - no much free time at all - managed to get out on several shorter hunts across the last week and half or so.

These finds came from an old church parking area- an old high school and and two abandoned houses.

Found the old silver plated pocket watch ( no stampings on it ) and the 1970's era - Cocoa Pebble's Flintstone's cereal - dinosaur token at one of the old abandoned houses.
This cereal token came in with a solid - FE 12 - CO 47 ID and it was about 5" or 6" down - thought I had silver quarter or large cent for sure ... oh well ... still a pretty cool find.

Got the old ornate brass valve approx. 6" down at and old High School - possibly from an instrument ? ... any ideas - anyone ever seen one like it before ?

HH to all --- Mark

That is some nice finds.
How do you like the SEF coil on the Etrac?

I like the 10 x 12 SEF coil a lot - not sure if it performs better than the stock Pro Coil or not - but I plan on keeping it - I like the feel of it.

But , the only coil I've been hunting with for the last six months is my 6" Excellerator coil ... light weight - great depth - great separation in iron - no hang ups on brush stubble (a major plus) and it's really good at getting in the tight spots !

Soaked the Buffalo Nickel in a mixture salt and vinegar - all the crud will come off Nickels in 10 to 15 mins.- be careful not to leave the coin in to long !
*** Just be sure to check the dates before you do any cleaning - you don't want to damage a key date coin !

gday mark

Nice finds there Mark! Congratulations. I was thinking gas lamp valve, but I like Goldsniper's guess also.
