French and german coins and silver badge

Weather was nice today so i went out for a couple hours. Went out in a pasture 1/2 mile away from my inlaws farm. Found these 1941 french and german coins. Then a while later i found this silver "expert marksman" rifle badge. Come to find out, these were from my father inlaws dad. The spot i was hunting was the original farmstead where his parents and grandparents lived. All the buildings were moved off in the 70's and the land was sold. My father inlaw said he and his brother used to get into his dads stuff and play with them and they must have lost them. Another weird thing about this is that today is the anniversary of his dads death.

Nice finds! A bit Erie considering what you said about it being the anniversary of his passing.

Like YT said that is a bit eerie . It was fated that the right person should find them . Once in a while things go right , treasure them .
