Fricken Explorer II.....

No wonder you guys are always complaining about your Explorer's finding so much....I've owned one for three days now and my back is killing me! It's not the weight....It's all the freakin digging I'm doing.... that thing is a Target Find magnet! Plus the holes are so much deeper! I'll have to start carrying a backup shovel or maybe I'll get the backhoe out again like last year!

Geese.....I'm bragging on the Minelab Explorer....I don't meant to complain any! Awesome ....Just Awesome!

Thanks for everyones advise too! Great forum people here!

I know exactly what you mean. It went away after about two months once the body got use to all the stopping and bending. Then you will get to the point where you start pasing over pennies becuase you have been pulling them for the last hour and just start digging quarters and dimes.

Good luck

Don't let the cat out of the bag....I know its hard to do as I always kneel on right knee but alternate from both knees and even flat on the old buttocks will help to a degree and of course a good choice of digger appropriate for your area always helps.
Rel the Shhhhhh remember your neighbor, clubmember might be reading the forum and if your area becomes Explorer country as mine is silver will be tough to find...

Make sure you Get a good Quality Digger... your gonna need it...

I had only 1 for a few years when I had My XLT.....

Now I've only been out with me SE for a few weeks and I've already been through 3 trowels.....

Just ordered another from Kellyco hopes it gets here by Tomorrow...

My hand is RAW From just using the Blade portion of the Fiskars that snapped in 1/2.....

Now That's Dedication if I saw it....

Get a Lesche digging tool! I've had mine going on about 7 years now. It has not bent or broken and I have used it to pry ungodly heavy plugs and used it to dig into the most ungodly hardpan gravel parking lots over the years. Never let me down yet.

I snapped a Preditor relic shovel in half prying on a plug that was frozen solid 5 inches deep while detecting in 10 degree NE weather. Then spent 20 minutes more with the end of the thing chopping my way to a 1800's Canadian fish scale half dime! I have since recovered a bit of my sanity, I purchased a much heavier relic shovel.
