Front yard silver

Hi all, yest afternoon I hunted a 1919 farmhouse yard. Got a few hits at 5-6" in driveway area...got 1 merc, 1943 which the homeowner plucked from my hand, his birthdate was that year. Was using the Exp II with 12X10 butterfly. I dug a few wheats also, they were hitting like the silver coins. The owner also wanted the SLQ I plucked from the yard, my second no-dater this year. Hope karma pays off if I start this new trend of giving coins away! Already given away lots of wheats. The problem for me will be showing coins of value if the owner asks to see "the finds" Oh well, he was tickled pink to get the merc, and invited me to come back anytime, even pointed out where the orig house sat, and where the old farm dump was located! Good huntin all!

A little silver is worth the chance to go back and hunt again - next time take a camera and get a picture of your finds before you hand them over (kind of like catch and release in fishing). Searching for the treasure and having a good time is what it is all about. HH:detecting:

It's worth giving up a little if you get a chance to go back...I gave up a King George Copper today to some skeptical homeowners that originally were unsure of me. They were so thrilled with the coin they decided to give me free reign of their 1740's farm . :detecting: I was so excited I forgot to take a picture of the coin. Anyway...HH all

Wish I had some silver in my front yard.

Congrats on the silver man!!!!!!!!

It was nice of you to give away the Merc since it was his birth year coin. WTG with the Standing Liberty Quarter. Those are always nice to find, even without dates. Hope you find many more keepers there and hope you get to keep some of the Silver. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH to you.:detecting:

Sweet SLQ AMC. I love those coins. Great Job.

Nice job, amc. You could always purchase a duplicate replacement for finds that you give away, so that your collection reflects what you've found over the years - just a thought. Take care. JW
