FYT.....The AT Gold has Not Been Released Yet.

Are you 100% sure units have not been issued as of this date? And that there is not a recall. I find it difficult to believe TManly would make up what he had posted (deleted) here.

The key word is "[size=x-large]officially[/size]" .........the units were not to be shipped prior to Oct 1. My little filly has learned from the best
and played the double reverse psychology on ME. :help:

She's been wanting/wishing for a black diamond ring........since I :inlove: my little filly I had to fulfill that wish and made arrangements to get her one of
3.51 carat for a combination Christmas/birthday present.

The other day she asked her 1/4 hoss if he wanted one of the new AT Golds' for Christmas or a Harley.....well I told her sarcastically it would be too cold to ride a Harley so I guess the At Gold would do.

:rant: if she didn't pre-order me one:rofl: and have the audacity to tell me since it would probably be frozen and that I couldn't use it on Christmas day that I could have my Christmas present EARLY.......just as soon as it came in.

This really set up the guilt trip in me.........:rofl: so of course I had to release the Black Diamond to her so she could also enjoy the use of her Christmas/birthday present EARLY.........

She performed flawlessly double reverse psychology on ME.......impossible. :rofl:

Now for the gist of this long winded tirade.......she got an email from the dealer that clearly stated:

" your detector will ship as close to the 1st as we are allowed". Meaning the first of October!

Apparently some of the dealers are a little confused as to when they could [size=x-large]"officially"[/size] release the AT Gold and some units have slipped through the cracks:devil:
 
So, this would require the Dealers to send back the units they have in stock that have not been release also???

This is just a guess........and I do A LOT of guessing........IMHO...I imagine Garrett sent out [size=x-large]A[/size] unit to each dealer for them to promote the AT Gold with. Just a guess ....:shrug:.. but some of those units were sold or offered for sale prior to the release date established by Garrett.

I guess its kind of like the surprise birthday party that you knew about all along but went into the I am really :surprised: routine so as not to hurt anybody's feelings.

I doubt that the Dealers have a ton of "stock" on hand....to send back....my guess they are just like us waiting for their "stock" to arrive just like we are waiting for our Golds too!

Remember "patience is a virtue" :rofl:...............so where in the :rant::rant::rant: is my :rant: AT Gold.......:rofl::rofl::rofl:

First I would like to say thanks to Garrett for responding to my email. they were very honest in there response and I fell better that they were not trying to keep me in the dark on this issue.
Here is their response:

Although a small quantity of AT Gold detectors were sent to some of our Garrett distributors, these units have not been officially released. Since this shipment went out, Garrett has opted to make minor improvements to the AT Gold based on field testers

This official thing is casing a few problems. Why does there need to be a official date to release a detector Garrett has a few people want them they want to sell detectors. So ship them as they are ready some people get them a little before others most of those folks had them pre ordered a long time ago. Every one can not get one the first day of Oct any way.
Just sayin.

I'm a Dealer and I did not recieve one as well as another dealer here in my town has not recieved one either. Thet sent out very FEW to a small number of dealers for more feedback.

Wonder if these "minor adjustments" were more of some type of bug that was discovered? After the AT Pro issues, I'm sure that Garrett wants to avoid releasing this unit before it is 110% ok. Makes total sense.
