Unless Ive missed it, there is no way to turn the audio off on this pointer??? If there isnt, have any of you come up with a way to disable the audio or do you know if they can do that at the factory for you??
Thanks
John

There's no way to turn the audio off unless you cover the speaker.

Cut a 3-4 inch piece off an old rubber bicycle inner tube, then put it on the Pro-Pointer, covering up that hole. Although not 100% effective at reducing the audio, it helps considerably.

Thanks, dont have one, being not able to turn off the audio is the reason I dont have one. From what Ive read its a very good probe. I just dont like audio. Its a shame they make a great piece of equipment like that and wouldnt make a switch to run between vibrate and audio or both.
I was wanting one, just hoping for a solution to turn it off.
LOL, thats life,
Thanks for the replies,
Best,
John

A piece or two of bike rubber tube will indeed do the trick of reducing the audio.
Also useful for other purposes.

I'm sure they could have put a lot of "bells and whistles" on it but, for every "bell and whistle" the price would go up. I asume they found a "middle ground" and went with it. I'm very pleased with it.

Forget the Pro pointer and go with the Vibra-probe 580 very nice unit built to this day!! get it dirty you can wash it!! use it in the lake!! there is no sound just vibrate!! go with the vibra probe 580

I just put my thumb on the speaker when I don't want the audio to sound. Alot o'guys just cover it up with electrical tape. John and ivanll have a great idea with that innertube rubber. Happy Hunting:)
