Everybody is comparing the Ace.
I happen to own the quick draw ll and the Ace. I also own BH discovery 2200 and have used BHer's for about 6 years.I am a fan of theirs, found some great stuff wt both BHer's.
Let me babble for a minute.
I've had the Ace for 16 days now and have used it every day since. About 50-60 hours on it,so far. I picked it up quickly because I have detected b4. I don't believe that would happen for anyone that has not detected. Here's one reason I say that.
I bought the ace of of craigs list for cheap, yet it is brand new. The guy told me told me he tried it a few times and could not figure it out,and that he found out it could take up to a year to learn. Not sure where he heard that but he was ready to get rid of it.
I dont agree with what he said ,,,but the quick draw is way easy to learn by far.(for someone that has never detected)
Now my opion on your question. The Ace is a far superior machine than the quick draw. First it has pin point, that is a huge difference. It also has a bigger stock coil. It will pick coins up deeper and wt better ID on most targets. In the long run it is better for coin shooting. That is if you can learn it.
The QD ll is very easy to learn, it is way lighter and will pick up coins up to 5"-6" with no problem. (thats were most are,but not all) Seperating targets is much easier wt the BH, its has a faster sound response. That is what makes it easier. Its very confusing when targets are close together for most.
I'm not bashin the BH its a great machine. But between these 2,, the Ace is a better unit.
Good luck
