Garrett Propointer upsetting my Etrac

Hi,

Had a club hunt yesterday and fired up the new black beast and noise cancelled.
Swung over a target and started digging for it
Started my Propointer and the Etrac started squawking and carrying on, turned off the Propointer - it stopped.
Repeated the above.
Turned off Etrac and retrieved target.

Next target same thing occurred.
This has never happened to me before with the Etrac and Garrett
I remembered a forum thread where someone with a Detectorpro pistol Probe often had this problem and how they fixed it.
....So I left the Garrett propointer on and noise cancelled again
- Problem fixed:thumbup:

I thought that this might interest some people
The hunt itself ?... amongst other things the Etrac found a ring and 2 nice old silver coins , one tiny half inch threepence coin amongst ring pulls...an impressive machine.

If you're using switchable stereo phones like the SunRay Gold or Killer "B"s or others... flip or press the stereo/mono button/switch when you pinpoint. It completely solves the problem. You'll remember to switch back because if you don't you'll quickly notice that you are hearing NADA... if I can remember, anyone can, believe me, laff.
