The last year of production of the Scorpion with the double stack GB knob.

Do you have the double stacked GB or the single pot?
Ground balance using coarse large knob first. Then to fine tune GB use the small center knob.
Most detectors only have one ground balancing control. Scorpion allows for finer ground balance tuning if you have the stacked GB control.

Yes you could but, might be tough to find one new. Or even possible to add a second pot for fine tuning. You just need to know the resistance value of the stacked pot.
