Hi i have been a ctx user for about 3 weeks now and i must say i like the detector. The only thing i don't understand is the geo hunt feature. From what i understand once gps has been turned to "on"
we can then press and hold the red button then click on record, what is the use of this feature ? How can i use this feature , once the geo hunt is saved how do i progress from here , i don't understand how to use the damm thing!

Check out the videos here, they should pretty much explain it all.

The CTX 3030 GPS Basics one is probably what you want to check out

You will have to load your eXchange2 software onto your computer. With the CTX plugged in to a USB port, you can select a recorded Geo Hunt and it will automatically bring up your hunt overlayed on a Google satellite map of the area hunted. All of your Way Points and Find Points will be marked. One way this could prove handy is using it while hunting an open field (or any other area, by tracking your locations and finds, you may be able to determine where there used to be a dwelling, business or campsite, etc. By maintaining the Geo Hunt in your CTX, it can take you right back to the spot.

See the info GKman posted for you.....

Extremely helpful for people that detect farm fields, large areas, etc. It can also be used to return to within a few feet of FPs or WPs if one desires to do so. In large areas, when there are no obvious reference points, I have "watched" the Geotrack building in the CTX to keep myself in a grid pattern and not wander off back into where I've been. It will keep you on a relatively good line. I find for myself, there are many more reasons that I use it, even though some folks may not desire to do so..............

I use it to help plot the paths and people used to use.

Can you start a second geohunt without having to delete the first. Like if you change farms during the day and then download two hunts later.

Take a look at this newly released MINELAB video
