Getting a little lead out yesterday.

Went to a small battlefield yesterday and managed these items. With the exception of the one bullet the others were quiet deformed. I assume they may have caused some personal damage. I still haven't found any buttons on this site yet but I know there maybe a few around. According to several accounts there was some pretty firce hand to hand at the breast works. I think I maybe onto to locating that position.

Where there's one Gardner there's bound to be another. Nice saves.

I'm going back when the weather clears and work what I believe to be the line of battle. I post more finds when I find some more.

After all these years and thousands of Minnie balls I still love to dig them

I would rather dig a Gardner,3 ringer or any other War Between The States relic than I would a small piece of silver. I'll never part with any relics that I dig and will instill in my grand children the respect and worthiness of treasuring those relics.

Went back to the battlefield today and found these. I think 7 out of the 8 are Gardners. The one on the left must have exploded. With all of these Confedrate bullets I'm pretty sue I've located where the breast works were located. I would have hunted some more but nightfall caught me. Needless to say I will grid this location extensively.

Went back today scored 4 more. I think the big bullet is a .69 cal.

The dropped 3 ringer was found at the bottom of the hill about 30 yds below were the Gardners were found. I pretty sure I've located the line of battle.

Yea I hate to leave it. I would hunt all night long if not for the rattlers. I'll go back every time I have a few spare.
