Very interesting but I'm just not buying it. I really don't go along with this premise. I do think that different detectorists do hear different things from the same signal But I believe this to be simply a difference in skills. There are lots of guys that think the units are magic. They're not.

I have been a musician for over 60 years. This is why I have said, in my experience, that the Deus Full Tones has the most information about a target. I use both the Deus and Dues 2. I listen to the lower bands in the 60 MHz to 80 MHz range because that seems to be where the iron, ground, and other annoying sounds come in that tend to degrade the upper, better ones.

The human hearing hears best around 1000 Hz. That is probably what most detectorists listen for as target information. I do very well, in my opinion, on trash-to-treasure odds.
