Ghost town goodies

Hey guys I just wanted to share some ghost town finds with you all. This particular town was only in existence from 1866 to 1869. on day one I located a newer section of town and found the makeup compact, the garter belt clasp, the oil lamp, the buckle and a few three-ring bullets. The second day I spent hiking and I was rewarded by finding the actual townsite that burned down long ago. Some of the cooler things I found included some henry repeater rifle cartridges (H,U & P), some FVV & co cartridges that were only in production from 1865 to 1868, some cool buttons, a religious medallion and my first intact bottle. It appears to be a medicine type bottle made between 1840 and 1870. The only coin that was found was found by my friend Ryan and it was a Chinese coin. Had a great time and I hope to do it again soon. Happy hunting to everyone. I'll be diligently at work on the next video.

Dang, digger......I would think that you would be smack in the middle of some terrific spots to hunt. I was in high school and college (Rudyard and Lake Superior State) when my father was stationed at Kincheloe AFB. You have to be fairly close to where K.I. Sawyer AFB is, or, used to be. As far as the ghost towns, are there not any farmers that would allow you to hunt amongst their crops? You surely have a restricted hunting season up there since the ground is frozen for so much of the winter.....not to mention covered with feet of snow! There must be some old high schools and such in your area (wherever that may be) that would be some great places to hunt.

Whatever, I wish you the best........

Diggerdick, Isn't Detroit a ghost town in some areas?

GKMan parts of Detroit is a ghost town from the riots back in the 60s. But is no place I like to MD some of the old apartment buildings that got burnt out are still standing. I live in Grand Rapids. There is some old schools hear and some old sport fields most of them are gated and you can not get in. We are going To hit some of the farm fields as soon as they get the corn off. I will post what we find. HH

When you said WEST Michigan, I figured you were referring to the upper peninsula.
