Gold and piles of lead

These pics are the results of my last 6 or so beach hunts,I did a bit of homework and visited 2 beaches that used to be very popular, but with a harbour bridge and new motorways going in,access to them now has changed,
The gold ring is a mens at 9kt,around $40 in spendable coins, also a few older pennys and two halfcrowns from the 1940's.And four ladys watches, three of them were found close together,I suspect they were the result of a burglary or something similar.Lots of sinkers for scrap or fishing mates.

Way to get the lead out Jim! Thanks for the pictures and congratulations on the finds.

Thanks JimD,
If I remember rightly it was 12:20 ish,but I will do an air test when I remember, one thing I do know is with gold or silver there is no mistaking the very positive sound and the numbers don't fluctuate like a pull tab will,It is just such a distinctive sound.......good luck out there.....jim

Great finds! Four of us are heading to the beach this weekend. I hope we find some gold too!
