GOLD AND SILVER FRESH FROM THE BEACH!!

Goldstrike

Well-known member
My trusty Safari rewarded me again with these beach finds here in SoCal. If it's buried in the sand, my Safari will find it for me!!! Just got back from the beach and it's still got a film on the ring so I'll clean it up in the morning and post a better pic! My wife snagged the ring by the way!

What a FANTASTIC FIND!!! Actually, what a FANTASTIC DAY of hunting!
Congrats,
Bunker

That ring looks like it could be well over 10k if the diamonds are high quality. Definitely get an appraisal.

There are no specific settings I use but generally when I detect the beaches, I usually search in A.M. high sens, sensitivity as high as I can go, usually around 13-14 and not to the point where it gets noisy and starts to false. Not all beaches are the same and the secret is to vary the settings according to conditions i.e. black ironised sand etc; etc; ground balance often and especially going from dry to wet sand and vise versa. Nothing beats experience and after all the tips and info is shared, you just have to pay your dues as I continue to pay mine!! and spend the time out there to get that 'feel' for the gold and silver sounds/tones. Remember to keep the Safari dry...keep it away from the water otherwise it's toast. When I want to detect the water line and beyond to the surf, I use my Garrett's Sea Hunter!
