Did a little water hunting after the 4th hoping to catch some recent drops. After a few hours of watching the sun rise I had little to show for the effort I finally got a hit reading in the 60s on the Manticore near the rope line. Digging clear thru the sand and 2 scoops into the clay revealed this dandy on the floaty. 24 inches of 14k Figaro Italian chain. It had been there a long time as shown by the before and after acid cleaning pics. Looked up a few similar ones at retail, as high as 16k so it should scrap out quit well.

Love the new 'jump ring' I actually use stainless steel split rings from fishing tahing tackle. They never break !!!!!

Its an oldie. The guys dont wear those big chains any more. Just waaay to expensive nowadays.

Fabulous find. Will fund a trip to England.

laplander, how did you clean that? I got one that looks like it but it is very dark, i just though it was cheep. it may be gold to. thanks flintstone, P.S. it is made just like that.
