Instead of going fishing, I hit the beaches hard again..good thing too! This is 14k.
I met another detectorist, who is a real pro, he's the one sweeping the main beach dry, he gave me some advice, like "your going too fast"
I said, I have to, since you are here, I've gotta lotta ground to cover, and I gotta F70, which is built for speed!

Nice find Mudpuppy!

what setting did you use?

Hey Timmysys, I set disc at 1, sens 70, thresh -3, DP tones, those DP tones are pretty cool, yet a fella has to train their ears to hear the foil and nickles, knives and larger steel still are audible with disc set low. I chop away at just about every tone on the beach, and really just there for fresh drops, thats the nature of the beaches here, but still this F70 will bang on a deep signal if the coil gets over it, the little gold rings hit in the 21-25 range, (foil) this thing hit in the low 50's which is not a common signal at all on our beaches here, My strategy is to keep that coil on the ground an moving, of course in likely locations, and cover as much real estate in the shortest amount of time possible. Thanks Terra, I needed this ..that represents @20 miles of walking I betcha! HH

Did you use SL or DE mode?

Once I was in water with F70 equipped NEL Sharpshooter coil (wading in chest deep water). I will start an another topic for the near future. I am looking for a stable setting with which in water can be efficiently searched. All ideas will be appreciated.
