Gold Ring And Silver Coins Makes For Lots Of Fun

Sooper Dave

I got out yesterday with my buddy Micah. I had a few places in mind so we took a little drive to see what we could find. The first place was a small older park but was a bust for any old coins. The next place we hit was an old small two room school with just enough area for both of us to spread out and hunt. Right away we started to dig wheat pennies so we knew there should be some other nice keepers there as well. After about three hours of digging we both managed to dig a few dimes. The last Merc I dug looks like it had a big piece of iron laying on it. I didn't see it when I dug it. That buffalo was deep and came out green like an Indian and it stayed that way after cleaning it. I've never dug one that stayed green like that. I thought I was going for another old nickel when I got a solid 12-09 down about 6" on the Etrac and I was very surprised to get a nice 10k ring. HH & GL David

Good job sniffing out the ring. Afraid I might have kept swinging. Coins, bullets and other goods are nice as well.
