Gold Testing kit

Anyone got a recommendation where to get a gold test kit ?
I've seen some acid test kits on Amazon but the reviews were iffy !!

Thanks
Colin

The gold acid tests are fairly accurate. If you get one with the test needles included, you will have the best results. The test needles will give you a comparison scratch to look at against the unknown gold item. Bit more in cost but the results will be more accurate. One tip is to use a file to cut into the unknown piece. You can get false positives with plated rings and other pieces of jewelry. Example a 14kt plated ring will test as 14kt gold but it maybe some other metal under the plating. Been fooled by that before.
