I don't know if my hunting buddy Chris is going to post his gold ring find he made today, but I want to mention it. He snagged a honker gold band with his A T Pro beside a tree that was a penny reading. That alone tells you it is a good size. Anyway, it was 14k and weighed in at a nice 12 grams. I've not seen a nice chunk like that for quite some time. Good digging Chris. HH jim tn

Hey Elton, 5 wheats and 1/2 a Mercury dime is not worth posting. It was Chris's day today....and a good one it was. HH jim tn

Here are a couple of shots of Chris's gold ring and a Eagle button he hit yesterday as well. That is a nice chunk of 14k, 12 grams. HH jim tn

Elton, I agree with you about hearing Jim's finds. What's even better is being with him when he makes the finds.

I have the pleasure of hunting with Jim 2-3 days a week and I can tell you he has no "off" button. He just continually is working that coil. The silver he finds is amazing and I'm talking about him finding it on ground I feel like I have already worked to death. I've learned more about detecting from Jim the last few years then I have the previous 30 I've detected.

Jim, thanks for the pictures.

I almost passed out when you showed me that Walking Liberty half today.

Nice fat Ring there, All Those Big fat Rings all fall in The Zinc Range.

Really sweet hunk of AU. Big ones are such a great surprise :surprised:! The adrenaline rush can't be duplicated. Few metals announce their presence with such luster. Thanks for posting up the story and pics.
