Got in a 4 1/2 hour hunt today with the F 75 LTD using the stock DD coil and I must say I am rather impressed.
I played with bp and cl modes and on the deeper targets switched to de to see what it sounded and read like. The cl mode is a deep mode, but I dug nothing that bp wouldn't hit. I did dig one really deep target, probably the deepest penny I have ever dug, that both bp and cl hit good enough to dig, but all de would do was omit a weak grunt/tic. Nothing that I would have dug. In bp and cl it was a weak, kind of quivering signal, but repeated. It turned out to be a 39d wheatie.
As I mentioned in my earlier post, the bp mode hits coins on edge great and at 5-7" depths has a nice tight vdi. I dug a silver war nickel on edge at 6" and it read and sounded very good in the bp mode.
Another thing about the LTD that impressed me was how good it detects targets in tall grass. There are several spots on this particular site that has shallow channels that the mowers glide over and the grass down in these channels is always 5-6" or so high. I worked one 12' long channel that ended up yielding me 7 coins. 2, of which, were silver Rosies at depths of 4-5" under 5" or so of taller grass. Those 7 coins had been missed countless times over the years.
Yes, the LTD is a keeper.
