Good Selling Price for an SE with an X-1 probe attached

If I were to get the E-Trac, what would be considered a good price for me to ask for my SE with the stock coil and X-1 probe or the SE alone if the probe is not wanted?

My one word of advice is to sell your Explorer and the X-1 probe separately. You can recoup more of your money that way. You will likely need to keep your X-1 anyway.

As far as the price for your Explorer, that depends on it's condition. They seem to usually go for around $900 to $1,000.

The X-1 Probe will probably work with the E-Trac anyway.

"They seem to usually go for around $900 to $1,000."

Well that was before this "annoucement" of the new E-Trec - I'd imagine that the resale value of the SE will take a bit of a hit when the E-Trec's go on sale. :surprised:

And it will take some more hits when more people decide they want the newer E-TRAC and you see more SE's for sale on EBay or where ever.

I've seen some new SE's on the internet for as low as $949 closeout so that will affect the used market. The used ones on Ebay will still bring close to that

I am really surprised to read how many people are going to sell their Explorer SE 's or Se pro's to get the new E-trac. Kind of reminds me of the good old days when the new cars came out and everyone went to the showroom to see them and test drive them.

I have not seen any reviews yet on the new machine and while I'm sure it will be nice, will it have the advantages over the SE and pro's to make the move to the New E-trac?

I can see advantages if the E-trac has a faster processor and allows for quicker recovery. And having an interface is also a plus. But will the improvements increase the my finds?

xxxxxxxxx quoted me a price of $1460. It is tempting. I will wait until others give their two cents on this new machine. Hurry up please!!!!!!
