Good silver day, a first, and a strange first at that!

As far as I know I've never dug a 1943 steel cent but the way this one appeared has me weirded out! I had just dug a 1955 Canadian penny and this lady comes by and says: "if that's a 1943 penny you're set for life!". I said: "yeah, that would be a good one!" Of course we were both referring to the 1943 copper of which only a handful are known to exist. THE VERY NEXT SIGNAL was this rusty disk with a piece of aluminum in the hole with it(only reason I dug it). It is the same size as a penny and you can actually see Lincoln's figure on it so I am pretty sure it's a steel penny. 100% iron ID once it was out of the hole.
Also got 2 Barber dimes, a merc., a '35 quarter, and 3 indians.

Congrats on that Silver you found. Also, them Steel Wheaties sure are a surprise when you find one and I'm sure it will be a find that you won't find again unless it's with other Wheaties or something else like you found this one. Sure is weird how sometimes you maybe talking about finding a specific item or thinking about it and then the next target or a little later in the hunt you find what you were thinking of finding. Spooky!!! Congrats again on a very good day of detecting finds and Continued Success, Good Luck and HH to you on your next outing.:detecting:

Good finds NealNoIN...and very strange:shocked:

Cool find, Neal! I've only found one and the only way I was pretty sure what it was--and the reason for finding it--was that it was in the same hole as some other '40s wheats.
