Good silver day...

We finally had a much cooler, breezy day yesterday so I went digging in some sunny areas. Nothing old but silver is silver and I don't think I've dug a silver half dollar for 3 years! It's a 1963 Franklin Half, the last year they made them. One of the mercs. is a 1931-D which is a good date.

Great day indeed!!! congrats on the Benjamin.:clapping:

to Dads so I could hunt after we mowed.

By the time we were done mowing though...I was too pooped to peep.

Man it was a sweet day for hunting though...less humid...sweet breeze. All I could do was sit there and recuperate:stars:

again...nice day you had...and big Ben made an appearance:thumbup:

Nice find Neal!! That Ben Franklin is a goodies... Im still looking for mine!!

The weather has been great! I only managed to get out once in the evening though. My days are sort of like Bryce said, too busy to take advantage of the cooler weather. Glad you are doing it. You have to love that silver.
Have a good one and HH - BF

Mr. Franklin still has not made his way into my pocket yet. Nice find NealNoIn

Congrats on the '31-d Merc! Those are a tough coin to find and still haven't found one myself. Found 2 '21-d's but never a '31-d. Congrats on the Franklin Half also. Have only found 1 of those before.....mainly Walkers that I find. Glad you had a good Silver Day and hope your next hunt is just as rewarding as this one was. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

A silver half is a coin I haven't found.
I find quite a bunch of trinket jewelry on beach hunts but silver coins are rare.

Nice Mercs with the Franklin Half, Neal. The only Franklin Half I ever found was a couple years ago in the front yard of an old house. It was only a couple inches deep & just about blew my earphones off. I think it was also a '63.
