Goodies at the beach, and a bit of gold

Our local coastline is still changing due to winter storms and rough weather, were I found these items the beach frontage drops off around half a metre, and has exposed a lot of lost coins etc. I spent about 6 hours here all together for a total of 134 coins, and they were all found in a distinctive area that had been exposed at low tide, when I went back today it is all changing again the area were I found these items is now getting re covered in sand again, and possibly wont be uncoved again for a long time.Interesting watching the tides and currents do there thing.A lot of the coins are corroded really bad (see photo),fortunatly the salt doesn't seem to affect the $1 and $2 coins. Also 2 silver rings and the gold ring is 9kt.Funny how the foreign coins turn up.......thanks jim

Wow great job!

Hi Aaron,
Yes that is a lot of coins, but this area buzzes in the summer with a motor camp just next door, and is a regular spot for fishermen I never included a picture of the sinkers I also found (about 20).Our population trebles in the summer a sit is a popular holiday resort, plus we get a lot of oversea's workers here in the winter for the kiwi fruit season,no I didn't get any rare coins, just the 1964 sixpence,thanks....jim
