Trying to get as much swing time in before the big blow. I snuck out for an hour to work an old tree line at the park. Dug my first V nickle! i thoght it was a buffalo at first and didnt know untill i got home. 1905 :clapping: Not the best condition buy i'll take it. Also two mercs 1935 and 1924 among the trash. The 24 is almost mint with nice rim and hair lines etc. Too bad its stained :stars: Anything with a high note got attention.

Looks like a pretty good hour hunt. I'd be hitting that tree line some more. Still hunting for my first 'V'. Heck, come to think of it, I still haven't found a buffalo either, only a couple of war nickels. I'll get some sooner or later.

Hope that '24 Merc cleans up for 'ya.

Great hunt. Nice Mercury. I wouldn't clean it for now. I only clean the worn out ones. The others I rub in my fingers (after dirt is removed) in dish soap. Congrats on your first V nickel.
