I haven't had the quantity of old coins this year, but I sure have been blown away with the Quality of the ones I have been finding. What a difference it makes between finding coppers in the fertilized fields versus homesteads in the woods.
I have not found a half cent since May 2003, and was overdue, this was my 14th I believe. It is close to being one of my best half cents, almost, I have a 1804 Spiked Chin variety that is a tad better I believe.
<STRONG>I have not cleaned this coin</STRONG>, this is basically how it came out of the ground.
1805 Half Cent Cohen 4 variety Large 5 with Stems.

Between you and Charles, it's a good thing my best coin for November was a 1918 merc! Gonna be a tough category this month... great job Don!!! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

I dont really post on here anymore much I prefer just looking and lurking. But, that beauty deserves a big WTG
