Hunt # 74 and ring #10. Good day for hunting lots of people all over the place today so come Monday it will be a full day of hunting. :detecting:
My wife looked at my finds and said you have a token that says No Cash Value. Just like my husband. Isn't that love after all these years? :inlove: You know guys she would miss my checks that come every month. :clapping:
Had to move out of the area I was detecting in because they wanted $5 to park the car in a free place the rest of the year. So left and went to the beach just a short drive away. Thanks for looking....Z

I have a ring almost exactly like that..mine has 14k inlay for the recessed design......the design is to represent Water........it should have the native american craftsman's hallmark inside the ring. A most excellent find.:clapping:

Nice Ring and great pics and write up Z...:clapping: You are indeed a multi skilled opportunist when it comes to hunting. Even if you dont go out in the winter, you sure make up for it in the Summer!

Terra thanks for info. It looks like my ring is MEXICO 925. It is a nice ring. I did shine it up to see if it was native american.
You know mud you really have me pegged. Mud I am not that good. I just live in a really good place to detect. 4th of July 100,000-200,000 people were down in my neighborhood to watch the fireworks. Now that is a lot of coins dropped. The beach was loaded with 100's of kids doing beach stuff yesterday. So it is not skill it is just being in the right place and getting out enough.
I kinda of cheated on the ground post. I found 2 quarters, 2 dimes, nickel and 6 pennies in one hole. Nice pocket spill. So it is out! I didn't really get down and dig that much. There!
Going to be in the 90's today and I do need a little rest. I think I will tumble a few coins today. Wife needs wash money. Maybe she will take me to Culver's and treat me with some of my money? :clapping:
Thanks for reading . HH....Z

Great huntin' Jerry. :fisher:
Hey glad ta hear someone else feels that way about parkin'.
Congrats on the beautiful silver too, we've found silver's with the same pattern over here as well.

Thanks for kind words Ian. It is common to want $5-$30 for event parking around here now. I leave the car in underground parking and walk to event. I think next week is the French festival, Bestille Days one block away. Last 10 days has been Summerfest 4 blocks away. These different festivals run almost all summer. I don't attend any of them. Music, drinking, eating and thousands and thousands of people. After they are done I attend with the detector and do a little house cleaning. :detecting:
I think I really got back in the swing with the F70 yesterday on the beach. I was running sens@90 and thres@1 and hitting little targets that would go threw the sand scoop. So I ran sens@60 and had thres@-6. Picked up coins right nicely at some nice depths of around 6" or more and the F70 ran much smoother. I am still using the standard coil but do have the 6" coil in the trunk for a tot lots or trashy areas. I am thinking of getting the 11" back on and see how it runs.
Thanks for reading and HH ....Z

Way to go Z great finds Always nice to find a ring I am on a dry spell for rings my only one in 2 months was steel but finally our weather is getting good should start picking up. Keep killin em out there HH

Thanks Stryker. The rings I find usually hit in the coin range. I dig them because I think they are coins. :) I am just out there for the hunt and exercise. I let the earth give me what it wants to give up that day to me. It seems on some days the earth only thinks I am worth a lot of pull tabs? Stryker I haven't felt this good in years. Metal detecting is good for me. :detecting: Weather here is hot again today. 90's again. If I do go out it will be down on the beach. Thanks and HH ....Z

I think the "secret" if you want to call it that, is setting the F70 sens, thresh and disc low enough to really bang on the good stuff from the low 20's on up..also the tones will allow a person to distinguish a little bit the junk, but since its beach sand, dig it all. I got chased off the beach by a big storm this am, but am heading back now...
