that was about it.
The cold reality of 7 hours at a completly beat to death park finally slapped G and I in our mugs.

I mean to tell you what you see is IT...only 3 coins in 7 hours...along with 4 or 5 little piece of iron...and the beautiful wedding band you see pictured.
No good stories...no gloating by G
...as he really got nothing to tease me with on this day other than a few wheaties.
I went over 2 hours at a couple of points before even getting a decent signal to check out...and even then I was pretty sure it was crap
..hence the few little iron pieces I dug.
In my 35 years of hunting...this is the hardest I have ever worked to find a couple of keepers.
Both pieces of silver were at 10" deep and the 1884 Injun' was at 9" deep.
When the 1884 Injun came out of the ground...I thought it was the nicest one I'd ever dug. I made the mistake of rinsing it with water...something I will NEVER do again...because it ruined it.
After G headed out...I was bound and determined to get a clad hit just so I would remember what a coin sounded like.
Funny thing was that I hunted another hour..and never even got a clad hit.
Don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining...because I found some keepers...but it's getting tough anymore.
Thanks for viewing and I hope you all had a good weekend.
